Bella Tressa Hair & Design Studio owner Lynn has an incredible 35 years of hair design experience. Lynn entered the beauty industry in 1982, working as a hair stylist in Aurora, IL. After serving in this position for a few years, she desired to take her passion for beauty to new heights by opening her own salon.
Having fallen in love with the Yorkville area, Lynn decided to build a new home there. She felt that the family-oriented City of Yorkville was not only the ideal location to raise her two young daughters, but also the perfect spot to launch her beauty salon. Operating her own business gave Lynn the flexibility she needed to be available for her family.
Speaking of family, preparing the first Bella Tressa studio was quite the family affair! Lynn and her mother-in-law tackled the painting, while her father-in-law created the original hair design stations. Lynn even received help from her brothers with the salon’s plumbing and lighting fixtures. The start-up process truly required all hands on deck and the finished results were stunning. The Bella Tressa salon officially opened to the public in 1992.
Bella Tressa’s first years in business were wonderful. Lynn’s talented team provided expert hair design and makeup services, leaving happy clients returning for more. Experiencing great success, Lynn signed the lease to upgrade Bella Tressa to its current location in the fall of 1999.
